Achieve efficient separation with these sifters

| By Kate Torzewski

For the separation of solids, the Gyramax gyratory is designed to recover the maximum amount of clean, acceptable product and remove all reject material.

With the drive unit positioned in the center of the GyraMax, a consistent screening efficiency over the entire screen surface is achieved. Dynamic balancing and no mechanical gearboxes allow screening to operate at 300 rpm, compared to most conventional screeners that operate at 150–180 rpm. Consistent motion and high speed result in maximum efficiency and capacity with no downtime for cleaning the screens. The screens are dynamically balanced for maximum vibration control, eliminating the need for anchoring. Every machine is factory tested to ensure that the balance meets rigid standards.

All screens are equipped with up to five Ball-Decks that keep the screens clean by propelling captive balls at the underside of the fine screens to dislodge wedged particles. Depending on the application, the engineered-rubber balls are available with a diameter of 2 or 1-3/8 in. The steel Ball-Decks are available in sizes of 2 by 6 ft, or 4 by 12 ft. They operate at a standard speed of 300 rpm, and are equipped with a 2 or 5 h.p., totally enclosed, fan-cooled (TEFC), 1,800 rpm motor.

Sweco offers a variety of construction options to suit any particular application, including: stainless-steel construction; metal ball box frames; oil-resistant balls; dust-aspiration ports; explosion-proof motors; and high-temperature construction suitable for 180–250°F operation.
