This company’s new centrifugal separator for industrial fermentation applications combines high separation area with continuous solids discharge, making it suitable for high-density broths. Its hermetic design ensures very gentle product handling, high separation efficiency and low energy consumption. The new centrifugal separator is suitable for medium-sized batches. The company has also developed new UniDisc discs for its Culturefuge range (photo) of centrifugal separators for harvesting mammalian cells. The discs serve to improve hygienic operations by minimizing the number of deadlegs in a system.
