A water-vapor sorption instrument designed for single samples

| By Chemical Engineering

The new version of this company’s Aquadyne DVS gravimetric water sorption instrument is designed for smaller materials R&D and characterization laboratories. The Aquadyne DVS series now has a single-sample version and a two-sample version that share the characteristics of the other instruments in the series, including sensitivity to 0.1 µg and a balance-load capability up to 5g. The Aquadyne DVS instruments feature a powerful Peltier-driven heating and cooling thermostat, as well as an easily accessible sample chamber. Water-vapor sorption is an important property in a wide variety of materials, such as pharmaceuticals, foods, building materials, battery and fuel-cell components, adsorbents and others. — Quantachrome Instruments, Boynton Beach, Fla.
