A system to monitor and control brewing processses

| By Chemical Engineering

LiquiSonic Plato (photo) is an inline analyzer for liquids in the beverage industry. The system consists of one or more intelligent sensors and a controller that are connected to each other by a digital line of almost any length. Investment costs are said to be relatively low, especially for a maximum of four sensors combined with a single controller. Using advanced sonic-velocity technology in a unique sensor design, the system allows control and monitoring of concentrations at different points of the brewing process. The sensors have a stainless-steel housing with IP 68 protection, are factory calibrated, and can be exchanged without any recalibration. — SensoTech GmbH, Magdeburg-Barleben, Germany
