A pilot ozone-generating system for testing applications

| By Mary Page Bailey and Gerald Ondrey

Ozcar (photo) is an autonomous test facility to help companies determine if ozone treatment is a possibility for their wastewater treatment needs. The system is useful because empirical data are often not available. To provide a quick solution, Ozcar enables experiments on a technical scale with minimal effort. Only a 230-V connection and cooling water are required. Ozcar draws in ambient air, concentrates it to make it pure O2, and produces between 25 and 100 g/h of O3 and mixes it with the water or wastewater to be treated. All essential operating parameters are recorded automatically so that large-scale plants can be designed and optimized. — Ozopure Italia S.R.L., Fano (PU), Italy
