The MRS extruder (photo) was originally specified for processing polyethylene terephthalate (PET), but has recently been used in applications with nylon and other polyolefins. Materials testing for use in many expanded applications is underway. With a patented combination of a single-screw extruder with a multiple-screw section, this extruder is very sturdy and particularly well-suited for recycling applications.
