The new “smart piping” feature of this company’s Engineering Base (EB) software platform (photo) allows for consistent structuring and segmentation of pipes, and also provides a workflow for specifying pipe classes based on current national and international standards. Once the correct pipe class has been selected, EB will present the user with the appropriate compatible materials for equipment, bolts and so on, as well as the pressure and temperature constraints.
